Let’s meet Jack & Jill, just two average kids

Jack & Jill were two average kids.
Of the same age and living in the same town, they shared a similar upbringing as far as economic and social circumstances were concerned. They had loving and supportive families, plenty of friends and exciting early childhoods filled with the type of experiences that ultimately form the core of who you are. Yes, indeed, they were battle-tested.
In adolescence, they met by happenstance and formed an unwieldy bond based initially on a volatile mixture of convenience and teenage angst. Jill enticed Jack with her beautiful blue eyes, her golden locks, her innocent smile… and her bodacious boobies, immediately making him smitten-at-first-site. Jill, in turn, was carried away by Jack’s rapture, his effervescent personality, his rugged looks, that Latino charm… (all true, if you ask him). What developed was at first a flirtatious friendship which then deepened as the years went by. This connection was genuine, seamless and ideal.
As time passed their relationship blossomed into a version of “When Harry Met Sally” complete  with the stories of lust, love and heartbreak, accompanied by tears and the often brutally frank opinions flying every which way. In this story, the shared travails did not bring them closer, but in fact, pulled them apart. Call it a natural maturation. And with that, they drifted and each ventured on their individual paths through life setting the course for what mattered most. At least in theory. As the great philosopher, one Michael Tyson, was purported to have said, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.” And punched in the face they did. Many times over. ‘Real life’ proved sobering.
Through those lessons that life can often dish out, they both realized, albeit individually, life is not for owning but, rather, for living. We simply hold the proverbial ‘lease on life’ and it is our responsibility to LIVE it.
Flash forward a few decades, and one apple pie later, their paths crossed. Serendipity at its finest. A heartfelt romance blossomed. True to John Mellencamp’s words, what once began as “her hands in my back pockets” has now grown to our “never being done with the night.” Yes, they were really, REALLY happy to be in each other’s life yet again. This time, inexperience and misdirection did not stymy them. Love had found them. That passion for each other, in turn, feeds their passion for life.
As such, their goal is to do that very thing; live. And share. That is the ultimate purpose of this blog. They choose to take a ‘grass roots’ approach to life and it’s many offerings.
Enjoyment is not defined by cost but rather by value. Value is found in the shared experience.
And the destination is not the concern. It is the companion that matters most. Planning is simply based on the potential of that shared experience.
Whether it be a long weekend in New England, or a week of decadence in Sin City, dinners at new eateries or cocktails at that enticing speakeasy, what transpires captures their essence.
Jack & Jill’s intent is to share what they experience: trips and vacations, attractions and tours, excursions and expeditions, restaurants and lounges, as well as resources associated with their adventures (tell me the latter doesn’t make your mind race with possibilities).
Their hope is that the reader can take something away from their adventures and reviews, perhaps finding inspiration for creating their own. The reader may care to share their experiences, as well, which can only serve in building this new community.
With Jack & Jill, the focus is ALWAYS on the experience, the adventure… and believe me, where Jill is concerned, there is always an adventure!
Thank you for the privilege of your time and off we go onto adventure…
